MINDFUL MONDAYS

This week’s intention helps remind us to let go of self-doubt and to embrace confidence. By repeating the intention each day or as many times as you need it, you bring awareness to “release and replace” – release what no longer serves you and replace it with something that helps you recognize what serves your highest, greatest good.

Franklin D. Roosevelt said, “The only limit to our realization of tomorrow will be our doubts of today.” When you doubt yourself, acknowledge it, then replace it with something supportive, like one of the following affirmations: “I trust myself”; “I am creating my own unique path.” Sometimes it helps to ask yourself why you are doubting yourself. What is the origin of this feeling? Figure out what is triggering your fears and then challenge their validity.

According to Suzy Kassem, “Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will.” All human beings experience failure. You are not alone. Often doubt doesn’t even allow us to get in the game. Get in the game. Try. Fail. Learn. Try again. Some of the best opportunities in life arise from stepping out of your comfort zone, taking a chance, and seeing what happens.

Eleanor Roosevelt said, “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” If you are doubting your worth, surround yourself with trusted mentors and friends who remind you of your strengths and victories. Take the initiative to connect with the positive and uplifting people in your life and soak up some extra support. Let your past successes help buoy your faith in future ones.
