Have you seen the holiday poinsettias with glitter sprinkled like fairy dust on the beautiful flowers? When I walked into Waccamaw Rec Center today to teach yoga, I saw a vibrant red poinsettia in the lobby with very few petals, yet it still sparkled! Human beings are like a plant.
As we grow through cycles of rain and sunlight through the passing of time, sometimes aided by the sunlight of others, we will find that what was initially a little seedling inside will eventually sprout a stunning flower that radiates both deep insight and beauty. We love our flowers and leaves and nurture them, then we shed them, and they fall away – and what we leave behind is our eternal sparkle!
